Soul Purpose Facilitator Training FAQ's

Back to Soul Purpose Facilitator Training Page

1.       What certification and qualifications are received after completing the training?

The training is accredited with IICT, International Institute for Complimentary Therapists, as ‘Soul Purpose Facilitator’ (or if you chose to, you can use the term ‘Precognitive Therapist’ if you have a Cert IV or more in counselling, life coaching or other complimentary therapy, or a degree), which means you can also become a member of IICT (Australian and New Zealand Citizens only) and gain access to very affordable insurance, if you don't already have it, that will cover you to work as a facilitator or therapist.

2.       Do we have to sit for exams and once the training is complete and all 'homework projects/field work' have been assessed, will I be able to utilise these skills and information within my current practice?

No there are no formal exams. Homework projects and field work evaluations are graded as 'competant' or 'present again'. Most people utilise their skills and information within their current practice, so the classes are smaller, usually between 8-20 students, to accomodate individual needs.

3.       Will I also be able to organise 'my own' archetype and chakra training for my clients? Will I require a Cert IV in Training & Assessment to follow through with this?

The program teaches you how to work on- to-one with clients at present, rather a class of students, so you won’t need a cert IV in TAA. However you will be taught a method of working with four clients at a time.

4.       After the course, what further support, mentorship or course/program update/refresher etc is offered?

Professional development for the purpose of ‘maintaining accreditation’ is available. There are two options:

·         One day workshop offered for all students once during the year. This is a chance for all students from previous years to get together and remain up to date on new material, methods of working etc. Cost is kept to a minimum, currently less than $200.

·         4 one hour sessions with Gail, that are normally $145 per hour, but for facilitators $110 per hour, in person, via landline or Skype.

5.       Are there any further costs involved whilst I am attending the training?

There are no further costs involved while you are attending the course, unless you miss a day or a weekend then there are catch up sessions available at the student rate of $110AU per hour. Sessions can be done via phone, skype or in person.

You may also wish to take up the option of attending the professional development training day that is offered in the same year as undertaking the course. After training, if you wish to work as a Facilitator or Therapist, you will need to obtain insurance via either IICT or another association or insurance company.

Once you have

·         completed your training

·         have obtained insurance as a facilitator

You will then also be eligible to feature as a Facilitator or Precognitive Therapist on the Body Soul Spirit website to help you promote yourself and all the work that you do.

6.       How many people who have trained with you on this course have started their own training programs? How many have used the knowledge for their own practice?

No-one has been trained by Gail to teach SPF material yet. Teacher training may come later, but for now it’s one-to-one, which needs to be mastered first.

A variety of people from all walks of life have been trained by myself to work with Archetypes and Chakras on a one to one  basis with their clients since 2002, then for the last two years as Facilitators.

There are hundreds that have blended this material with their current therapy in one way, shape or form. Most tend to combine therapies which create their unique product. Fewer actually specialize in Archetypes and Chakras only. Working as a facilitator begins as a secondary source of income if it is a stand-alone therapy.

Another goal for the program, which is heading into its fourth year in 2012, will be to draw on the first 2-3 years of facilitators and promote them to the position of clinical supervisors. Then the next step is to add a teacher training program. That will then call for a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAA).

7.       What happens if I miss a weekend or a day of training?

Catch up sessions are available at the student rate of $110 per hour. Sessions can be done via phone, Skype or in person.
